What weather conditions are ideal for golf at Fox Meadow?

The sweet spot is temperatures between 15–25°C with wind under 20 km/h — you'll get a fair, predictable ball flight and comfortable walking conditions. Morning tee times in summer (before 9am) often offer the calmest air and cooler temps. Check the wind and UV readings at the top of this page before you head out.

How much does wind affect the course?

Fox Meadow is sheltered by mature tree lines on most holes, which softens crosswinds compared to PEI's coastal courses. That said, holes 7, 12, and 16 open up and will expose your ball to any northwest wind. When the OpenAir wind reading is above 30 km/h, club up by at least one on exposed holes.

Is the course open year-round?

Fox Meadow typically operates from late April through October, weather permitting. The shoulder season — May and September — often has cooler but beautiful playing conditions with the added bonus of lower rates and shorter wait times. The course closes when frost or snow make conditions unsafe.

Do I need to book a tee time in advance?

In July and August, booking 3–5 days ahead is strongly recommended — the course is popular with both locals and tourists. Spring and fall are more walk-on friendly. Contact Fox Meadow directly or check their website for availability and current green fees.

Yes — Fox Meadow has a full clubhouse with a licensed patio, pro shop, club rentals, and a practice range. The patio is a great spot for a post-round meal, especially on evenings when the sun stays out late in summer.
